The Worst Animal Poem by Akhtar Jawad

The Worst Animal

Dear God, my dear God, dearest among all,
I am weak and lean but I believe you are tall,
If you have any legs please come to Palestine,
Nothing here is good nothing here is fine,
If you have any hands please stop bloodshed,
The worst animal is now too much mislead,
I was playing in the street when a shell injured me,
I was moved to a hospital but it never cured me,
As it was also attacked and I was brutally killed,
Changed in flush and bones my blood was chilled,
The immortal soul is standing in your court of law,
Please do the justice you know where is the flaw,
Many children like me are facing untimely deaths,
Do you give birth to us for graves and wreaths?
The worst of animals now needs your iron chains,
Humanity is crying in Palestine, intolerable pains!
