True Self Poem by Mira Graves

True Self

Rating: 0.5

The silent tears that mark my cheeks,
will never be seen outside of me.
My quiet cries and sufferings,
shall be seen as carefree happiness.

The cuteness in the shy girl is all they’ll see,
the hysterical laughter all they hear.
Praising her for who she appears to be,
when comfort is what she truly seeks.

Afraid to share her loneliness,
but searching light in her emptiness.
Locking away her secrets and fears,
afraid that found they may become.

But yearning to share with thy,
that`ll make them fade away,
and keep her safe from reality.
Yet despising those who get too near.

Her feelings kept buried,
under thousand of stones,
guarded by her rage
with the key called hope.

Silence is all she desires
but smiles when music plays.
In the shadows she likes to hide,
but when light walks by, she says hello

Afraid to speak her mind,
for fear of abandonment and scorn.
Yet suffering for those ideal,
she miserably failed to protect.

Alone she wishes to remain,
so no pain will find her heart.
Secretly wishing to be exposed,
so that someone will save her.

Mira, you are a really true self, Sufferings arise for power & pelf; Joys and sorrows ruffle up the body, Calm as deep sea is self''s melody. From true self the poetic bliss flows, All your sufferings of the body mows.
