Don't forget me
After today
Till the next year
Comes along
For if you think
I deserve just
One day of remembrance
I am all awaiting
Longing with faith
For you to love me
The way I have
Loved you
Fed you
Nurtured you
Safeguarded your existence
Don't give mercy scraps
Nor symbolic talks
Don't just plant
Those token saplings
Trust is what I seek
From you and
Your generations
To stop defiling me
Ravaging me
Wiping out
My sanctity
Take me as your own
Own me as your own
Think of me
As you think of yourself
Let me survive as you do
Live together as one
And then I will thrive
Flourish without fail
Live and be blessed.
