A Little Query

Oh' my Lord, the ultimate - the creator of all
You remain at the center point - You are over all.
But I am in a dilemma to see You doing some things,
Why You allow us to increase - if it's undeserving.

You created this rare Earth with Your paints and brush
Blue sky, mountain, ocean with meadows green lush.

Made this earth so lively with nature and living beings
With plenty of water and air and so many eateries.

But why You destroy them with your will and wish
With quake, drought, flood, wood fire, -
Tornado, typhoon.

I fail to realize within.... why it is so
If You feel that we should be less
Then why You allow us to give birth so much?

Why You play so cruelly with thousands of innocents?
Why You put them in such a misery and distress?

Oh' my Lord, as the origin - the creator of all
You are at the center point - You are over all.
But I am in a dilemma to see you doing some things,
Why You allow us to increase - if it's undeserving.

Amitava, I keep reading your poems one after another. A mysterious desire keeps drawing me to them.
As I drink from your poetical wisdom, and feelings, more questions than answers keep coming forth. It's
like you have drilled a non-ending well within me, and thoughts being drawn from it create beautiful pictures
to write about. My Dad always used to say, what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger and this too shall pass.
Maybe that's God's intention, to make us stronger through contention and suffering, I don't know. He is the
heart of my being. RoseAnn (Report) Reply

why you allow us to increase if undeserving...who told you we are undeserving..the person who relief sadness of others deserves the person who gives deserves.
why you destroy them with earthquake...etc. earthquake is an exam sometimes it is a punishment. even the punishment is part of the mercy (pain purifies the souls) .he does not want us to be less the problem is qualitative not quantitative (Report) Reply

Nice write tinged with wisdom. Even me don't understand why creates and then destroys the beautiful world, HIS own. When I see misery, sufferings, pain of good, I feel like an atheist, simultaneously I see this wonderful nature, birds, flowers and little sweetheart newborns I get into dilemma and again start believing HIM. A Wonderful poem from your pen. Though its A Little Query, but it make us think. There are many people still in earth who don't believe God, but there are many who believe in God. People with different thoughts and characters move on, but each life is unique in its own way. Pains and suffering for each one are different. Only we can tell its ones time and destiny plays the role. In fact our life's control is in hands of time and destiny. Many times we feel we can control it, but as the wound take its own time to heal, for each and everything there is some time. In fact we are ruled by time..We have to wait patiently for each and everything....
Really a wonderful poem, it kept me thinking as what can be the answer for this query. Though everyones opinion is different along with their experiences in life. Loved reading it. (Report) Reply

.....it is a great question....but I never ask cause we all belong to him... even the ones who do not believe in him and everything in the world belongs to him, even the earth, moon and stars belong to him, ....we none of us actually own nothing here... he is the ultimate source of all, this being said he (this energy source) can do whatever it wishes. whenever it wishes and still I will be happy with whatever happens. cause I know I am God's child...and some of his decisions cause me to feel some sadness... like when he took my mother from me...but a part of me knows he did it for the best... so she wouldn't suffer from pain, so she could be happy again...with this example I feel God does everything for the best...even though we do not think so at the time.....love your write it is amazing...thanks for sharing.... Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
