Acid Test To Lovers Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Acid Test To Lovers

O wild queenof acrimony! Relax from rage
and return to normalcy to have a peep
at the aesthete on a fast like a sage
not to speak first, surrender meekly and weep.
Attractive smiles of yours are your Achilles' heel
which makes men tease you but sinks women in envy deep.
My abject apology failed to make you feel
and your hate liked me to pass through an acid test
to judge my virtue and if guilty to make me kneel.
