Alarm Goes Off
Sounding off in the distance, an alarm goes off,
warning me to keep my heart protected because
another person is heading for me to cause
emotional turmoil.
Eyes wide open this time, avoiding the friendship
being offered, afraid of the eventual consequences
in the ending.
