An Inspired Poet Poem by Valsa George

An Inspired Poet

Rating: 5.0

A weaver of words in deep quiet reflects
In his mind's prism, many a thought deflects
Within him the rainbow colours of passion rage
He scripts songs of beauty and rhyme on page after page

He has no magic, neither erudite nor clever
But hungry souls, his poems avidly devour
Stirring their hearts as wind on whispering leaves
And each line, some alluring fancy weaves

As from pen to paper, his fancies flow
In a lingua that has an unusual glow
Though a great epic may not be born
His songs move even hearts of flint n' stone

He sings the paeans of love and life
Of men in cross roads of toil and strife
He awakens dead worlds long forgotten
Taking us to magic lands never trodden

His songs have echoes of a heavenly rhapsody
Drowning the Earth in flooding melody
Fuelling hearts with thoughts one cannot name
Spawning tempestuous passions one cannot tame

A poet of the kind you have sketched here may be there... perhaps if we search on the PH one or two of the kind may be there. But we need to scan the whole website. It is nice that at times a poet with some calibre and identity comes forward to define the traits of others poets who are enviably superior. Thank you madam for referring to an ideal poet who is INSPIRED. A fine poem deserving a10.

Nature is the original poet, all other poets are inspired poets. A nice poem I've rated it 10.

From “Grammarist” (online) Fueled/fueling vs. fuelled/fuelling In American English, the verb fuel is inflected fueled and fueling—with one l. In all other main varieties of English, it becomes fuelled and fuelling—with two l‘s. The spelling difference extends to refuel, which makes refueled and refueling in American English and refuelled and refuelling everywhere else. It likewise extends to other, rarer derivatives such as fueler/fueller. favorite stanza: “As from pen to paper, his fancies flow In a lingua that has an unusual glow Though a great epic may not be born His songs move even hearts of flint n' stone” …………..have you FELT my heart? ! It doesn’t - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -move! ! The poem has nice flow and some nice rhymes and some close-enough rhymes. I DON’T like when the rhymes are better than the rest of the poem, which they are not in this one. I’ll say not all of this is true for all poems or all readers, but it’s ok to say all this in a poem. It is NOT a doctoral thesis on astronomy! ! ! bri :)
