Bottom Of A Muddy Puddle Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Bottom Of A Muddy Puddle

Walking in the rain, loving to have it splash upon this face,
hiding tears that continue to fall because you have been taken
by death's insistence.

Everything seems to be the same, yet you are nowhere to be
found my dear, wandering down lonely streets, tears mixing
and blending with the rain.

Hiding the face that's missing you unendingly, this broken
heart lying at the bottom of a muddy puddle, no one being
the wiser as they walk by.

This heart soaked through with the heartache and pain of
losing you and not a soul can tell, as I hide right here
out in the open, crying in the rain.
