Cogitating Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Cogitating

Racing through melodies and their rhythms, finding all
sorts of ideas and thoughts cogitating therein.

Collecting them into meanings and definitions, focusing
all into messages to be written in poetical forms for
the entire world to read and enjoy.

Hopefully finding pertinent information and knowledge,
along with a wisdom that can be used in daily life to
add ingredients of strength and power to what people
already have.

Energizing and creating throughout the world, making
it a more beautiful, peaceful place for all of us to
live peacefully together.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Two outstanding elements of this poem: First, in the Third stanza you affirm the value of the DAILINESS OF LIFE which I realize is one of my shortcomings. I live for the Big Moments, the Peak Experiences, instead of finding satisfaction in what is given as you show in ordinary terms. In the last stanza you make a plea for peace, which can only happen when we understand and accept each other. We are so far from that as a Planetary Society, but poets will beat their crazy heads against the sky rather than give up H-O-P-E.
