Separating difficulties in life from emotions that
are rough and edgy, at times cutting into our feel-
ings, hurting us with the knife of loss.
Tears falling from our eyes because our hearts can-
not possibly hold the intense sorrow and sadness
being caused by it in our lives.
Getting through these measures of hardship and sacri-
fice cause us plenty of misery, not knowing how we'll
ever live through it.
Not feeling like we're going to even try, because we
end up so forsaken, forlorn and despairing, keeping
one foot in front of the other.
Looking down into sorrow and sadness until suddenly
one day we realize that we've made it past all of it
and joy is filling our hearts.
