Dog Poem by JOE POEWHIT

Dog

Rating: 5.0

Soft watery mellow eye's.
Looking, wanting, a surprise.
Always near, by my side.
'Companion friend', I sigh.
Romping in the playful grass.
Barking, yelping, squirrels pass.
Lying by my kingdom chair.
Licking fur, seamless cares.
Wanting only a morsel feast.
My heart, it does keep.

I love this kind of composition if it pertains to a dog or to any pet. I love dogs...I have my Cookie once, a mix breed I miss her so much so that I wrote a poem 'Gone Forever' dedicated to her and to all the dogs that I love before. Give them love, take good care, feed them and they give you the same in return particularly loyalty.

Nothing more worthy of a poem than man's loyal companion the dog. I miss mine.

My dog is a great pretender.. Show me a cutie act when I hold a biscuit, And pretend to be die when I get angry of him.. He make me smile as always..
