GLEE

This age
Has left
Far
Far behind
That age
When pleasure
In glee
Could not thrive.

Pats and hugs,
Display
Of care
In abundance
With flair
And,
All adhere
With derided
Values
Walks
With elan
To bury
His clan
With panache

Glee
Gleefully
Thrives
In parochial minds
Fails to see
The fresh water sea
Whose depth and shores
If ever
Will consummate
With the eyes
He beholds.

Glee is sadly missing from the lives of moderns. Pats and hugs and all display of care and concern also have become something rare! Well said! ! (Report) Reply

Well said Sir. Many pleasure are being missed. Just few year ago the world was not such a terrible place to live in. Actually we miss pleasure or to be more precise we think life not to be enjoyed the moment we come up with responsibilities. Other wise the joys are still there. The time does not change. the mind and mentality change.

I like the words chosen for this thoughtful write and the pattern is equally attractive. Well done. (Report) Reply

Well there is much missing and not sure which glee you speak of. The Glee of happiness at someone elaes expense, the Glee, television show, or something related to your native culture. All three make up a very interesting poem. (Report) Reply
