I Don't Want To Lose You

I'm sitting in class
thinking of you
thinking that you leave me
and I don't know what to do
I don't want to lose you
because I love you so much
that if I did lose you
I could not live without your touch
I really don't know what I was thinking
I guess I was caught up in a daze
but you had left me hanging
so what's a girl to say
I know there's no excuse
for what I have done wrong
but that's all I have to say
because for you I waited too long
this shit about people saying
every guy that comes into my house I screw
I'm the only one who knows
the whole godforsaken truth
so believe what you want
its all up to you
my heart is broken
and I have killed yours too
I'm sorry so sorry
this is something I will always regret
and I know you cannot forgive me
but can we really try to forget
I can't believe this is happening
all I do is sit and cry
because I realized how much I love you
and all I want to do is die
there are eight days until our 3 month anniversary
and who knows how it might end up
I'm hoping and praying to God
that on that day we don't break up
I'm so confused
and so very lost
and I'm sure you are too
so what's it going to cost
I haven't done anything else
I've turned it all into dust
I'm putting it all behind me
because I want to earn back your trust
so while I sit here in class
thinking about what to do
all I can really think about it is
how much I don't want to lose you

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
