Incomprehensible Act Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Incomprehensible Act

Sweet sadness, misery at last lifted, bittersweet to
hear, yet heavy upon our hearts.
An incomprehensible act to conceive in anyone's mind,
yet it has happened and we are left with the sheer
horror of it's destiny, locked in our minds.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A good friend of ours committed suicide by putting a gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger, dying alone. None of us had any inkling at all, he was always so open and friendly, never letting on at all that he was depressed. Although we knew he was in pain after having back surgery, he was always smiling and joking around, never complaining.
