Individual Actions Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Individual Actions

Drums beating into rhythms of my mind and intellect, all
causing quite a stir of thoughts and concepts to occur,
coming to the surface.

Seeing violence and barbaric ways filling our world with
ugliness and murder, thinking of all the good and innocent
people who outweigh these villains and thugs.

Wanting to rid this world of all of them so the rest of
us good people can live our lives in peace, getting along
like one big happy family.

Helping and teaching one another about our individual
cultures and religions, getting along, educating our child-
ren through our individual actions, not just words with no
meanings.

This poem amplifies the one I just read and commented on, the one that ends IN THIS MOMENT (Why do I always forget titles? !) This one spells our the process, amplifies the signicance of working toward peace. Even as I read your poem alluding to THOSE WITH MINDS THAT HATE the news is by preoccupied by a Somali man who committed a terrorist act just now - and he was raised in St. Cloud MN, just 45 miles from where I live now, and he attended the same college I did.
