Let me not forget
==============
Abiding by the rule of laws-
Of this mortal life,
I'm to die and leave one day
Saying all- a good bye.
Don’t know how... where and when
The end will come at last,
Don’t know even where to go
Thereafter the death.
Still I crave throughout my life
With all earthly hungers in my mind
My greed having no bound to it
Demanding everything as of mine.
Getting allured to this toxic field
I miss the real essence of life.
Why this boasting why this pride
Why these desires put me aside.
Quiet, quiet let me be quiet
Let me taste the eternal peace,
Feel the soul as divine and great
Harness myself with love and peace.
Let me not forget -
That I'm a mortal being.
I'm to die and leave one day
Saying all- a good bye.

The end note adds more to the perspective of your life.... Yes, we lose the essence of life in the holocaust of desires! The thought that oneday we have to leave the world and go will give a better orientation to our life and help us shift our priorities! Enjoyed! !
bliss in the solitude of silence...the sublimity of silence can be known only by a poet.........
Beautiful poem from your pen...Very true said one cannot forget that life is mortal. But as long as we are alive we have to fill ourselves with an aura of positive thoughts. I often get depressed feelings in mind. Some days are too tough to pass...But have to move on... Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem. Loved reading it.

I would like to translate this poem
Desires in life are fickle, unable to be fulfilled, yet we run after them as if they were our gods. Costing us our selves as we are finally steeped in saddened silence, having lost all purpose in life. Being mere mortals, not forgetting that fact and having to say good bye to the only world we've ever known. Good one, Amitava. RoseAnn
