Lost Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Lost

Rating: 5.0

Lost in the valleys of life
lost in the daily grind
blinded by the light
of all that we see

I always used to say
it would never happen to me
but I could never have been so wrong

I'm so far lost
I'm living in another world
but I'm fighting back
mind and body still strong
I'll find my way home

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is about when we start to get a bit older and we just stop
doing a lot of the things we used to do. I've just started back at
the gym after a few years off, I may not get as good as I was twenty years ago, but you never know.

I hope we all 'find our way back home' through that narrow footpath, that leads man from this to that. Lovely write, short and precise.

Ya know Dave, really, in a deeper fashion than we, most of us, can see, this is a poem about the struggle of what it is to be human; I truly like it, added to my favorites. Write-on!

We all dread becoming old, but it is said that it is a state of mind - well my aging joints tell me otherwise, but in my head I'm still young, albeit wiser than when I was truly young. That is a bonus. Good write Dave.

Keeping fit for as long as we can is the main thing and just doing our best to maintain it.lovely poem with a true meaning.
