Recalling A Special Aunt Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Thoughts turning to Aunt Alice for today's her birthday, writing
and wondering what she's doing for her birthday now that my dear
Uncle Nunzio is no longer here.

Knowing that her heart must be breaking at times as she recalls
memories of their lives together for many years, hoping that
somehow she will still have a blessed and peaceful birthday.

Wishing I could be with her today, saying a prayer for her,
because she has always been a special Aunt and friend, having
many pleasant memories of times we spent together.
