51. As the dark departs before the light arrives
your evil deeds vanish when you do penance.
If the oil in a lamp exhausts, the dark turns back.
When virtue leaves, evil stays in you.

52. The great men think of the transience, disease,
aging and death, and so they do penance.
They who think of the endless astrology
and grammar are nothing but mad fools.

53. Seeing the domestic life, youth, beauty
fluency, wealth and might leave slowly,
the wise don't make delay to do penance
to reach the feet of the Almighty.

54. The fools who suffer for several days
long for a single day's pleasure.
The wise who know well that joy is fleeting
Keep away from family and do penance.

55. Youth has been spent for no use. Aging comes
along with the disease. O, my heart! Don't come
with guts to enjoy sensual joy with me.
Proceed in the routes of penance for the good.

56. No one deviates from a wedded good wife
for not getting children. One resorts to pain
by marriage. The wise who know the morals
from the books, seek to do penance.

57. They are the rich in virtue who don't give up
fast when miseries hurt their minds.
They avert the disturbing ills with guts.
They keep the rules of penance with moral strength.

58. It is the nature of the great not only
to endure the insults of others
but to feel sorry for them as they are to
fall in hell in the birth next for their vile deeds.

59. He who treads not in the tracks of desires
of senses, body, mouth, eyes, nose and ears
and goes on fasts without fail
is sure to reach the happiest heaven.

60. Knowing the gusting winds of grief and pain,
the lust brings in life, the fools roam to find
pleasure and sink in it. But the wise hate lust
as they know, the pleasure paves the way for pain.
