Surgery Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Settling quietly back to living after having breast
cancer surgery, enjoying just Being alive, writing
and listening to music, two favorite things of mine.

Surgery needed to be done right away, having been
diagnosed two weeks ago, had surgery yesterday (Oct.
8,2018)ready to be discharged today Oct.9,2018.

A really great surgeon has done the surgery, he also
fixed a ten inch tear in my abdominal muscle (hernia)
caused by all the surgeries being done on my abdomen.

Going for first radiation treatment this afternoon,
will be going twice a day for five days for radiation
treatment, no chemo necessary.
