*tea Time For Two

Rating: 5.0

A guest flew in early for tea time,
(THE OTHER DAY)
But I don't remember sending an invitation.
But how can deny when she brought me a flower,
yellow daffodil she laid on the table.
Without a word she went for a cucumber sandwich,
silent she was while sandwich hung in her mouth.
She gobbled it down as if she was a greed pig.
I was baffled by her behavior,
for she never took time for tea.
With out a word she was on her way,
As she flew and kissed the sky.
(I make one last simple reply)
Precious pink lady bird please
come calling again

Fascinating verse here Randy and makes the reader want to know the name of the 'pink lady' who flew and 'kissed the sky' - - you have the poet's imagery to intrigue with such phrases - - a lovely read.... thank you...10 from Fay.
