Time Slip Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Time Slip

I thought I was dreaming
but it turns out
I wasn't even sleeping
I'd walked into a time slip
and gone back to victorian time

For a split second
I watched people walk on by
Then I blinked
and time came back
to the place I recognize

Aye! I am trying to sail my ship into the 21st century. Don't know why thought. Slippery poem, we all get tripped up by time.

There are rumors this does happen. Once I thought I saw a nun sitting in the chair in my bedroom. I saw the black and white habit so clearly. Perhaps it was a timeslip and not a ghost? I enjoyed your poem very much.

Dave, I have gone back and forth twenty or thirty years time period, but you have gone centuries back. Have you recently visited any of the shops that take photographs of people with attires of different Era in Oxford Street, London? Any way Nice poem!
