What Were We Thinking Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

What Were We Thinking

Rating: 5.0

Letting go of one another yesterday, but keeping in touch,
missing what we had shared through a time-tested and un-
conditional love that would not die.

Yet we couldn't stay together for one reason or another,
a sad tale of sorrow as we continue to miss each other
every moment of our lives.

Tears of sorrow now mingled with tears of joy we felt
when younger, where did we disappear to one day in the
past, what were we thinking, my dear.

We had it all, our lives could have been filled with
love and happiness, thinking of you every day and wish-
ing we could still be together once again.
