When you see me
Your eyes ought to see my inside
There is perhaps a heart there
Beating its own way.
Yet again
If you listen still, you may hear
My heart beats which are not musical.
When you see me
Your mind ought to forgive me
For at times mine is not there-
It is on a sojourn
Far off me
Fluttering in the infinite spaces
Of life`s void chambers.
When you see me
Your thoughts might turn nostalgic
As you miss me for I am halved
From time to time
Into two images diametrical
I am sorry my dear pal
For this entity thrust upon myself.
But I promise
To be there before your very eyes.
Then I will smile like ever
-Hope I know how to open my lips.
When you see me once later
I shall be floating unto your chambers
Like a cloud that will surely rain.
The protoganist finally reveals his passion to float into the chambers of the beloved like a drizzling cloud.
Love the romance of the last three lines. We are all guilty of not looking deeper into a personality before judging
, , its poems like this that inspires others to write, , , , wonderful write, , loved it..
Hmmm.....Deep meanings that unravel only after a second reading. Good work Sir.
It is very difficult to judge others. But there are people who judge others in first sight itself. Some are very good in communications and their skilled behaviours like marketing personnel will impress others at first sight and may continue till they focus to do it as long as they want. Its like clouding.... Then It becomes very impossible to judge others. These people will leave a very good impression on others that even if one speak against them, no one will believe. They play the politics very well in their entire life. They may show humbleness in their words. Mostly many People like polished behaviour or words. I think those who speak straight forward are better ones. But they are often misunderstand as many people love sweet coated words. May be I am right or wrong. Yes, one thing is true only one can know inner self. Beautiful poem. Something different.
It is more important to look inside rather than what is immediately visible - this requires true insight and not just first impressions. Excellent as always Dinesh.
looking deep within there lies the true person. last three lines beautifully crafted.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Judging a person from the exterior gives a shallow perception! A man has to be seen in his entirety! But is it possible? With the lapse of time, a person's true colours will be out, no doubt! The last three lines have an unmistaken romantic aura about them! Enjoyed this great write!
