In every continent and even in subcontinents,
there is an old slave girl.
She was passed to different masters,
she was raped by all of them.
Don't you see the old girl of Australia
and that of New Zealand,
Haven't you seen the old Red Indian girl?
So is the Palestinian slave girl,
and so is the old Kashmiri slave girl.
A few beautiful women are destined to be Cleopatra
who can make mighty men her slaves,
but most of the beautiful girls are born to become a slave girl.
May be Helen of Troy or Snyugta of Punjab,
wars were fought for them,
there masters were changed,
but their fate was never changed.
Slave girls are born to be raped by the mighty conquerors!
Thank you, Sir Akhtar for writing this poetic gem. A powerful, perceptive and wonderful poem for women. I hope this write, will in one way or another, eradicate this social ill and free women from the claws of all forms of slavery. A great poem. Incisive and insightful with a meaningful message to humanity Onto my Poem List and the Poet to my Poem List...although the great Poet's name has been put several times into my treasures.
A poignant write.Very disheartening to know that slavery still exists and what is so revolting is that these mighty conquerors are the perpetrators and the victims are women. Some women are still treated as a toy for powerful men. A truth so bitter that tears everyone's heart.
This is truth and like so many truths, it is bitter. Ir made me sad. Take care of U my dear
