Wounded Moments Poem by Amitava Sur

Wounded Moments

Everything I find to be right in their place
Excepting you with whose love I was blessed.
The moment you disappeared, deserting myself
My known world did change entirely since then.

Melancholy made a nest inside my remains,
My delightful, bubbling earth has faded away.
It has dipped into the abyss
Of a frightening darkness.
The silence and the infirmity engulfed myself
Frozen me into a lifeless effigy at last.

You have departed and remain invisible now
May be or not peeping at me from light years away.
But I'm torn, tired and a comatose now.
Who will console my wounded soul
In these abysmal and forlorn moments?

Therefore I'm still in search of you
Desperately alone is bent you,
With my silent cry in days and nights-
All my wounded moments are remembering you.

A heartfelt poem, though a painful one. It seems the pain just poured out from your heart. Very true said, search continues....Keep writing Sir, as far as possible. Loved the way you presented it.

A heart-wrenching poem, depicting your intense loss and all the feelings you are going through. You have touched me within and brought tears to my eyes, Amitava, I have felt your pain. Keep writing yourself into every poem, expression of loss is your love being shown. Very well written, Amitava. RoseAnn

Melancholy made a nest inside my remains. What a wonderful line! Just one of many that make up this heart and soul felt poem. Well done!
