Aart Beunderman Biography

Biography
I'm a musician/poet and my artist’s name is 'aart'. I am a real 43-year old ‘Global Soul’, having lived in Chile, Australia, England and France before my arrival in the Netherlands in 2001. From the age of 15, I have written, played and recorded my own songs/poems. I’ve played in many different bands, mostly in England where I grew up and also later in Chile, where I was born.

My music/potery
My music/poetry is an eclectic mix of styles, colours and cultures that I describe as:
" ‘HEARTcore songs' about love, connection, inner peace, energy, creativity, heartfelt rebellion, playfulness and personal transformation."

My 1st CD, Blue Belly, by my former band ‘Back to Belly’ was published by Warner Chappell Music in Chile and was acclaimed by the Chilean national press. Songs from this CD received airplay on national radio and we played & were interviewed live on national TV. This CD was also presented to A&R at Warner Music London and was considered music with potential on the English market. Unfortunately, ‘Back to Belly’ disbanded in 2000.

As a solo artist, I’m currently playing live at various venues in the Netherlands and England. I am also playing at festivals and participating in competitions, and can be heard on local radio in the Netherlands
