On A Spell

He was an allure and an attraction
A peek at him took away my breath
His notions were stunning like his eyes
He decides what I feel; happy or sad
Because he discerned insight

He knew what he inflicted on me
But he never cared
And every time I gave in, though I wasn't compelled
I kept regretting and repeating

I knew I was hooked on something that wasn't mine
I knew I could do better by ending it
But the fear of losing him hamstrung my mind
His spell kept me fanatical about him
And I kept living in fallacies
Till he bursted the last bubble of life that I was in! .
