1.

I looked up the apple tree
And thought...
I could climb
Yes I can
...

I choose control over my mind o'er power over yours
I chose candid truth o'er candied lies
I chose grandeur over glamour
my world over yours
...

Your word is your currency.
In this world of whimsy
Be consistent with your word
Make good your promises,
...

All you have to see..
Tomorrow is just an idea
Today is the best place to be
Yesterday is a memory so dear
...

Dare

I looked up the apple tree
And thought...
I could climb
Yes I can
and I did!

The lower branches
held ripe apples
For though I did climb
I wasn't the first to
And so I reach out for the next

I dared, I did
To go a step further
To the bigger, riper apples
I would hold in my palm dear

For the best-is always
Where non but men of valour
Dare to reach
And I did
The fear of falling was naught
