A forsaken raven in the night, faring away,
Floating against the wind, towards the milky way,
Black he is, darker than the night,
Diving through his madness with all his might.

The clouds on the horizon,
were weeping in the morning.
The child cried with them,
for she wanted to play outside.

Allfather

A Windfarer

A forsaken raven in the night, faring away,
Floating against the wind, towards the milky way,
Black he is, darker than the night,
Diving through his madness with all his might.

Oh raven, the messenger to the gods! Your sun is no more.
Fare away, fare elsewhere! Where beasts still sing merrily,
here you are fading away far, far away from your shore.
Seek the lady*, there you may find your kin dancing gaily.

He dove away, deep in the wilderness! He is no more.
The wind here soughs his story, as his voiceless Bragi.**
