Lost But Not Forgotten

I'm the missing footsteps of a little girl
floating in mid air,
My plastic face is splattered on every block.

I can feel the air, my ears are alive
My eyes are shut,
I have no control over where the current takes me.

The ground beneath me whispers in circles
My belly chants and growls.

My heart races my mind
My soul is screaming,
I vomit black.

I'm dying, I'm dead
Hoping for feathers,
praying for life.

I'm lost in the wind
My plastic face vanishing
I dissolved into black.

My name is written on the wall of life
All can see me
I'm lost but not forgotten.
