Expelling bullets of rain;
Filling up the valley floor—
Guzzling poisonous shrubs

Strutting their magnificent stuff a lot;
Don't indulge in self love like the roosters do,
When God says Not! It's an irksome love not.

Still, black water canvas
Throws back an upside-down city bright light

And there's nothing on our plate;
What if our shoes are worn out,
And our clothes don't fit our weight.

I polish its slick surface while scrutinizing my likeness.
