I was brought up around a very musical and litterate family, I have famous bloodlines one being a 40's hollywood actor (although I am english) so you could say I was born with glitter in my veins. My family on both my mum and dads side, had become friends with many stars over the decades, and even went to school with some now famous stars... I was singing at the age of three, (my mum recalls I would often reduce family members to tears singing Elvis's 'love me tender') and it esculated from there... As a child I loved to read poetry and listen to music... My mum would read me poems from Edgar Allen Poe, her favourite being 'The Raven' so my imagination started from there.... At the age of 8 I was auditioned for a choir and we toured all over the country, eventually I became head chorister... Left when I was 16, due to other commitments.. Most of my childhood was spent writing lyrics, listening to music, being on the school stage or reading, sadly being the ever the self critic, most of that work I produced went in the bin... I was sent to audition for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webbers theatre group at the age of 15, but again had to turn it down due to other commitments... At the age of 17 I was asked to join a girl band who was offered a record contract, but had to turn that down due to the fact of having parents who wanted me to do well in education rather than the arts... But it is here in the arts where my heart lay and after much internal debate decided to write poetry/lyrics again about 18mnths ago... And thats where I am today, most of the poetry on here is what I wrote 18mnths ago...Recently added poetry was written 12 months ago I am currently forming a band and releasing an album in 2011 (hopefully)
Crystal waters from the blue,
locked deep inside and remain so true,
Twisted hearts feel the passion inside,
too and fro lapping on a beach,
...
Its written in the stars you and I,
feeling like heaven, falling from the sky,
a kiss from a rainbow, turns the wheel,
a dream cast from heaven I now feel,
...
On a cold winters night, the snow did fall,
Creeping through the hallways feelng so tall,
A picture hung neat on a wall so red,
feelings in motion, no fear or dread,
...
From a sunlit sky he came,
with eyes tinted fire that no one could tame,
a shadow cast over the earth,
a new dawn had come a second birth,
...
The rain pours down on such a stormy night,
hollow is the soul of such an eerie sight,
heart as cold as ice as black as coals,
wandering lonely through the darkest of holes.
