Charlie Youdonneedtaknow Poems

She is a blossom on the tree of life,
a vibrant splash of the purest white.
She is none but the winds wife,
soaring as high as any kite.
...

The wind brushes through the trees above.
The birds chirp their pure soft song.
My thoughts sail the lake as a dove,
the day is quiet and pleasantly long.
...

We’re just on the edge of knowing,
and god knows where we're going.
The cold winds are a’ blowing,
and the clouds are always snowing.
...

What’s so great about 42?
Vague beyond our comprehension,
the feelings I feel towards you,
lead to life's lovely tension.
...

You're so confounding,
just when you smile.
My soul is sent resounding.
Another want on the pile.
...

Charlie Youdonneedtaknow Biography

Just an ordinary guy. I write poems because they convey feelings and can make you think. Poems are so beautiful because of that, they are feelings in the most succinct and pure form that can be conveyed with a pen and paper. For me, writing poems is a catharsis, whatever bothers me or is on my mind, I write about and it relieves me. It can be tricky writing like that, and thats why most of my stuff stinks! Too much emotion and it comes out crap, but too little and it could've been written by a computer. So in conclusion, I write about feelings, anger, frustration, sadness, and of course love. I hate to perpetuate the 'teenagers and love poems' stereotype, but I write about what Im feeling, so sue me.)

The Cherry Blossom

She is a blossom on the tree of life,
a vibrant splash of the purest white.
She is none but the winds wife,
soaring as high as any kite.

With her fragrance so sweet,
her beauty none too loud.
Her slender petals know not defeat,
she smiles back at me, so proud.

I can only stare at her, lost.
the wind whispers she can be yours,
I must hurry now to beat the frost,
I have a chance, my spirit soars.
