My poetry covers a diverse range of styles and themes ranging from the serious and reflective to the more playful and humorous.
I like to keep my poems 'tight' without unnecessary complexity and with a clear rhythm and simple language.
The themes that I explore are many and varied.
Social justice and human rights is a focus of many of them - living in Australia I am very focussed on the historical injustices suffered by the First nations people here.
Equally, I have suffered from quite serious mental illness and that is exposed in much of my work which also explores the meaning of existence.
However, it's not all serious and some poems explore the absurdities of everyday life and some poke fun at politicians and others.
This is my second profile on PoemHunter. The previous one contains much of my work but I've lost access to it! Hence this new profile.
