as I travel through life's slippery slope

The green light would climb in her memory.

the world just keeps on spinning.
I wake and I see the sun or the rain
but each day is filled the same way again.

but my intent is strong
I grow with sun and rain
so why does everyone want me gone

I wear my suit of armor
protective and strong
But the tears I cry and hold inside
keep me from moving on

It hits you like a wave
that crashes to the shore.

Sometimes like curls of memories

Lies he tells of things unseen,
Why do I believe the dream?
Is truth too hard to portray,
Words just getting in the way.

Can I miss what wasn't mine
After just one sip of wine

Life will twist and turn each day

The spiders come then run away
leaving their sticky traps to sway.
All day all night, the flies they catch.
These thoughts of mine just seem to latch.
