Ellie Foe Poems

I would like a place

A place
that shields me from the horrors of people
...

Last year I blacked out.
This year I'm hungover.
Empty footsteps and empty words.
...

All the kids came out to play
In the sparkling blue waters
...

A never-ending road,
passing trees and
grass freshly mowed.
...

5.

Everything has a mask

Come close
I'll let you peek behind mine
...

You scared me
With your face
In the dark abyss.

The Best Poem Of Ellie Foe

A Place

I would like a place

A place
that shields me from the horrors of people
and myself

Somewhere I can forget the day,
where I can just lay

a small corner of invisibility
where I don't have to think.

A hole I can fall in.
Away from the tight suburbs of big ears.
And where the gazes of hungry eyes can't follow.

A home of isolation,
Where I don't have to listen.

A secret village of my heart
Where I don't have to hide

Please.
