Notice Me?

Notice me?
That girl in the corner, remember her?
The one who was so normal you couldn’t be bothered.
The ’happy one’ the ’nerdy one, ’
They’re all labeled.
And those who don’t need something,
The ones who aren’t interesting?
You’d be surprised by how much they noticed you.
Glasses, blonde, four-eyes, brace-face.
Stories of the people who get bullied.
The guilt felt by the ’normal ones.’
But the only thing that hurts more than the words,
Is the lack of them.
So when will you notice me?
The laughter not quite reaching my eyes.
When will you notice me?
The one who never needed anything.
The ones who aren’t bullied,
The ones who are left all alone and should be grateful that they don’t need help, The ones who don’t need anything.
You’d be surprised how much we need,
For you to notice me.
