Henry Holcomb Bennett Comments

Firstly, this poem was not first published in Woman's World in July 1919. It was first published 21 years earlier in The Youth's Companion (known in later years as simply The Companion—For All the Family, an American children's magazine) on January 13,1898. (He was 34 years old.) Furthermore, Henry Holcomb Bennett did not live between the years 1795 and 1894. He was born December 5,1863 and died on April 30,1924.
