Hope Regnum Poems

A babbling brook

Creek bed
...

My baby more apples and oranges

Not so fun when you're young and reckless
...

I am not into refinery

I don't want sweetener brought to me
...

If I could I'd tuck myself back into that pink zebra printed bedsheet
I'd get lost in fantasy books again
Color on walls to show how tall I am
My white bookshelf would still tower over me
...

The sun sets while warmth rises on soon cooled concrete
Faint scent of cologne on your chest
Dancing with the flowers which wash over the air's breeze
The tree's sap leaves its residue on your hand
...

Storytime under soft ninja turtle blankets
I listen to my mother give to the needy and thankless
Family never seemed so desperate
As I grow ever young and reckless
...

Your roommates are everything authentic and lovely
I cannot help, but be nosey
I stare in awe of their family portrait
Their decorated fridge
...

The familial game sat and waited

Wait and be patient, let your mind be stimulated.
...

Memory Of 2010

A babbling brook

Creek bed

A rope swing

Juice boxes and daring things

Sandwiches that stick to my teeth

The sun gleams on the trees' peak

As it burns my cheeks a rosy pink

Laughter bubbles on top of lake stream

A current present moment

Happiness

It's how things ought to be

The sun sets and skies darkened

My skin kissed as it says goodbye

See you next mornin'

Live for today's current

And river flowing moments
