There is, I'm told, a space for you and I
Not here, not now, but at a future time
...

VOLCANIC

A distant rumble grows louder, getting nearer
Sounds unlike anything I've ever heard before
...

BLUE VIEW

As a soft breeze blows the net curtain
Everything I see is a pale shade of blue
...

COUNTRY SCENE

The empty grey road stretches ahead
Into the distance, where I am invited
...

HOPE

Hope rises, as bubbles to the surface
Pushing through dense watery doubt
...

LIFETIMES

A lifetime of feelings that have to escape
Some so intense that they leave me agape
...

ALL HALLOWS EVE

The night of the pumpkin is nigh
Grow your own or you have to buy
...

A MIXED WELCOME

Out there, across the bay, I see it clearly now
All here must be thinking of what might come

SMILE

A knowing smile can have many meanings
Whether one's teeth are displayed, or not

It's a wriggly feeling, bubbling up inside
A wide smile that could even be forever

For good I mean, not just temporarily

Pale face and look of disdain

As all know well that I have won

Gently, one can ease in
To that just vacated seat

Knowing that never is too long
You think in time, I will forget

Yet rarely a need for any Hail Mary

There is, I'm told, a space for you and I
Not here, not now, but at a future time
I've heard it's where the people never cry
And even though it looks a bit like mime
A frozen silence that blankets everything
No choir to hear, nor any bells that ring
In fact, an ending that I think is unique
But not the destination that I seek
So now I'll focus on my life that's left
Keeping those I love so near to me
Alone, I know that I will feel bereft
But time is short for me to wait and see

They say that there is nowhere left to run
As now the final chapter has begun
