Hugh Green Poems

Sweaty hands- spidery fingers touching tender warmth
Electrically caresses in gently narrowing circles
Probing unknown emotions -
Uncharted joys
...

Why am I so meek
When I breathe the dragon's breath
I have power, but can't roar
Raise the dead from hellish death
...

She releases to the air
with a light and silken voice
All the beauty of her soul
the expression of rejoice
...

The bagman carrying his life upon his back
Tortuoused - a shell of ugliness seen circling the cracked mirrors of his heart
Raw withered claws blackened by rainy nights fraught of cold
Fought bold in fevered sweat though trembled in their meaning
...

My heart - hidden behind a smile and the madness of the moment
sheds eternal tears for the words it can not pronounce
No language exists to match the beating
No blood can follow suite
...

A tremendous circle is love
pleasure unrelenting
pain unsubsiding
...

Regrets - rocking chaired thoughts bound to arthritic reasoning
Eating as cancerous pacmans the joy counted fleeting moments
Have stolen light, replacing it with worn dark thoughts of inevitability
Where slippered health dwindles upon receding lines of beauty
...

Who's Who

Sweaty hands- spidery fingers touching tender warmth
Electrically caresses in gently narrowing circles
Probing unknown emotions -
Uncharted joys
Spasmodically reaching for that beating -
Throbbing heart
Yet - longing for that impassioned soul
Rose flushed moist lips
Pressing lovingly to respondent cries
Hopes quiver - creeping as euphoric heaven
Bliss in extremes
Ecstatic certainty
Inevitable…. The seducer awaits!
