Jacqueline Villagomez Poems

The sun left, isn't shining anymore.
The moon & stars are hiding,
Wont be emerging tonight.
Instead the clouds are crying, full-on grey.
...

Often I laugh to myself,
Finding myself lost in my thoughts,
Thinking of what used to be.
My mind, replaying short-clips of memories over&over again.

Sky Don'T Cry

The sun left, isn't shining anymore.
The moon & stars are hiding,
Wont be emerging tonight.
Instead the clouds are crying, full-on grey.
Throwing enormous tantrums causing thunder & lightning,
rein down on earth.
Thunder so loud it awakens sleeping children & leaves them dismayed.
Lightning so blinding making them avert.
(In shock&fear the poor children now lie wide awake.)
The sky cries heavy rain drops that wont stop crashing down,
flooding the streets deep downtown.
And I cant help but wonder,
Why the sky's crying, when it seemed so happy during the day, today.
Did the moon & stars do the sky wrong?
Or was it cause the sun, who broke its heart because it went away?
I don't know, but wont someone tell the sky that, it'll be alright & everything will be okay.
That there's no need to cry & go into a frenzy state.
& that day will come once again,
In a different way, never being the same,
Because its a new beginning.
Another fresh start to a new day,
Never meant to dwell on it for too long.
For time flies by too quickly to try & hold on.
Life is meant to enjoy & move on,
you'll have the memories to reminisce.
Never linger for life's too short to be stuck in the past.
Gotta keep moving forward to the present & Future.
