SC DeQuanna Poems

The moon rose above the grassy plains
the stars shone above, the planets faint
trees surrounded the opening
fireflies glowed above, so freeing
...

In a glowing field that lay goodnight
A lonely child stayed in fright
Coping with a lullaby
In a kingdom of the night
...

She danced with the breeze
She looked like she was from a fantasy,
Her laugh was like a song
You couldn't go without for long.

4.

The crickets sang a lullaby
As the moon danced all night
Slowly inching through the sky
Having an amazing time
...

Listen up, my maiden fair
Your heart broken here and there
Close it, for new wounds
Will surely ache until your doom

Kokoya

The moon rose above the grassy plains
the stars shone above, the planets faint
trees surrounded the opening
fireflies glowed above, so freeing

the castle rose from the distance
letting the world know of the kingdom's existence
the bustling village next door, never quiet
the world may be shy but
this kingdom isn't
and the moon sings with it

the shining lake lays before them
with creatures, foe not friend
the ones with a taste for blood
get close, your lungs will flood
but do not worry for life,
stay away and you'll survive

the 'forbidden' forest next door
with danger, takes the floor
strange beings like to hide
keep you trapped forever inside
demons and monsters abide
a tune will have lied
a soft melody, luring you by
and then it will become your time
