Sin

Withers in like a snake
Morals out of your conscience to take
Your weaknesses are known
The profits of human lust will be shown
Without consequences those are ignored
"You deserve this" your selfishness implored
"Trust that these are sins you can afford
You"ll be forgiven anyway, right? "
Of God, the savage covers the fright
The doubts slink in slow
And grow if you let them go
The more the beast is fed
The further the haze invades your head
And before too long
Morals are far gone
And what started as a miniscule sin
Has now allowed the serpent within
And if your number is called
Your soul from Heaven be falled
To dance in the fire
Eternity; just for human desires to acquire
Led by the beast, now stuck in the mire
