Rain Drops

Prologue: 'Glistening rain drops falling down
I see her in the sky above
...

Looking back, I'm surprised to see
How things turned out to be.
This day, I turn six and twenty
After years of God's grace in plenty.
...

I am emotionally invested a little too much in her.
I may be judged by someone who reads this when I say that I asked her to call me every day of this vacation.
But I could not imagine not being in touch with my little girl for 12 days.
She promised me that she would call me.

Rain Drops

Rain Drops

Prologue: 'Glistening rain drops falling down
I see her in the sky above
Unclear is the image, I frown
Yet, so strong, I feel her love.'

Oh! This is unbearable for me
Unbearable because deep inside me,
I know, that you'll never be mine
For I've got a contract to sign.

Our ways part apart
And it hurts my heart
Pain is all that I feel
As life makes another round in its wheel

I doubt the choice I made
I confess, I was afraid
What others would think, I feared
Feared of facing problems myriad.

Oh my love, I am weak
You are the only consolation I seek
Deep within me, I melt into tears
My heart weeps, but no one hears.

You are my heart's desire
No water can quench this fire
No! Not even whole water in the ocean
For my love for you is much more than passion

It may be true that destiny pulled us apart
But you are always in my heart
We never touched each other
Yet our hearts beat together.

Tears roll down my cheek.
Heavy is my heart.
Choice is hard.
Words fail.
Love.

Epilogue:
'Draped in white cloth, I move
My own unworthiness questions me from every side
Time and time alone shall prove
Was mine the right choice and let no one else now decide'
