June Gray Poems

she says,
oh, but my tummy,
oh, but my thighs,
oh, but my size
...

2.

when i look at my life
i see a glow
that's you;
you make me feel alive
...

limbs creaking down
back thudding on the frame
head folding in
hand clapped on my mouth
...

here's another for you, i suppose
i want to give you all the words
all the words in my soul
...

you aren't a person;
you aren't real;
no, you are a poem-
but I wish to know you
...

6.

so pretty.

so kind.
...

Such disgust and anger and fear
God, I don't even know why.
When you wake up in the morning
I resent you.

June Gray Biography

Hi! My name is June, and I live in the US, and I'm in high school. I love to read, and my love of poetry has recently been re-enkindled due to my meeting of my girlfriend. I love this site, and I would love to meet some interesting people from all walks of life through this! Perhaps if I meet someone cool, we could collab on a poem- I wonder if anyone would be down for that. Anyways, that's about it. Hopeless romantic, and a golden retriever as well. (I keep my plants alive.))

My Love For You

she says,
oh, but my tummy,
oh, but my thighs,
oh, but my size

i love it all
its not a lie
its seeing things in a different way
its not that she's not pretty
i could look at her all day.

the sparks which collect
in the bottom of my belly
the thrill that races
turns my legs to jelly
i never knew that a single touch
could be so deadly
or so lovely
truly
you don't need to worry

but you don't need to please me
you don't need to flaunt or to tease
it's enough that you are you
and that is all i need
i love you, baby.

and another thing
'she' doesn't sound quite right
but ill love you as you are
no matter what label
and whether it fits quite right

i know it's your parents
and that's alright
i know you for you
even if they need some time.
