Born South London in 1947, kenneth f. taylor has variously been a merchant seaman, worked in manual & clerical situations also in psychiatric nursing, & has been a freelance teacher of English as a foreign language & of IT especially DTP/graphics. He had an unremarkable formative education & in his 20’s went to art college where he graduated in Art & Design. From his 20’s he was sporadically a professional drummer touring, doing sessions & recording in pop music as well as in avant garde/experimental jazz. He was also a drum tutor. In his late forties he returned as a mature student to full-time education, doing undergrad & post-grad work in English literature. Since 1966 he has written many books of poetry, several prose works & some criticism/commentary. During the ‘70s & ‘80s he published poetry & experimental prose in mimeo/small press mags, & was involved in readings. He does computer graphics designing & producing his own & others’ works. He has also published some poems & journalism in more recent small press situations. In recent times he has been involved in music composition. He has had an abiding interest in experimental & informal literary/poetic forms & continues to create both; currently, he has new poetry & prose both in progress. He lives & works in London...
