Born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Khalid Albudoor is an award- winning poet, writer, and heritage & culture consultant.
Albudoor, who started publishing in the local magazines and newspapers since 1978, is considered one of the early poets who established the modern poetry movement in the Emirates and was one of the founding members of UAE Writers' Union. His first collection of poetry, published in 1992, won Al-Khal Poetry Award in Lebanon. To date, he has published 6 poetry collections
He holds an MA in screenwriting from Ohio University in the US. Since 1988, Albudoor has been working as a writer and documentary film producer, focusing on the cultural heritage of the United Arab Emirates. This includes oral heritage, Nabati poetry, and traditional music.
His documentaries have received awards and recognition both locally and abroad.
