Biography of Kristy Ann Raines
Kristy Raines was born on April 9,1957 in California in the United States of America.
Kristy is an American poet and writer and sometimes writes under the name, Summer Raines.
Kristy is very unique when it comes to writing.
She has a love for conventional and unconventional poetry. Her favorite style of writing is her own which has a very interesting mixture of fantasy with reality. She writes passionately. Her background in writing
has mainly been for her own enjoyment and has submitted much of her poetry to online literary companies. She has now become very serious about her writing and has worked her way up and is now known internationally.
Kristy is finishing her book called, 'Rings, Things and Butterfly Wings', which she hopes to get published soon, along with a series of poems called, 'The Princess and The Lion', a book of poems translated in french and Arabic under the Pen Name, Little Rose Poetry, (Summer Raines) , and her own poetic anthology, called, 'Living Without You'.
Right now, Kristy has an anthology of romantic love Collaborations with Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai
coming out this Summer which she is particularly excited about called, 'I Cross My Heart From East to West!
Kristy is very versatile in her writing, from fantasy to friendship and love, to serious subjects such as, domestic violence, human trafficking and Anti-War. She enjoys writing children's books. Education and Literature for children is one of her passions.
Kristy is a Poem Reviewer/Moderator on Facebook for Chaucer's Square Writing/Poetry Group, Poetry and Literature World Vision on Facebook, and has two groups of her own for anti war poetry. Her love for all people is apparent in her everyday life and online. Love to her, has no borders or nationality. She just loves people.
Kristy has a long background in the medical field and has worked with many physicians from all around the world, which opened her up to different worlds and a love of many cultures, especially for the Middle Eastern countries.
Kristy put herself through school and Received her certificate in Ultrasound from the Burwin in Canada and also earned her certificate as a Certified Phlebotomy, Certified Medical Coder and in Medical Transcription.
While living in many rural communities, under the instruction of the Physicians she worked with, would assist in medical procedures and some surgeries and is now retired, but is now a full time Poet and Writer.
Kristy is passionate about a Ministry and Orphanage in India and also is an Advocate and Peace Ambassador. She also advocates against Human Trafficking, (especially involving children)
and Domestic violence, and is very active in Human Rights for others all over the world..
Kristy has received very many awards for her poetry and writing and was one of the winners of the Rahim Karim World Prizel and countless other awards from many different organizations.. She has also been recognized greatly for her humanitarian work internationally and works tirelessly to bring awareness to genocides around the world, (Especially for the Rohingya people, Yemen and Native Americans) .
